Registration fees

*Low Income Countries. To see if you qualify for a LIC delegate rate, please check at the following list. Only participants working in an institution or company from these countries (a status proof must be uploaded at time of online registration) are eligible for the discounted rate.

Please note:

All full-time PhD students are entitled to register at the student rate; a full proof of their student's status (i.e., a scanned copy of the student ID card or a letter from their institution confirming full time under or postgraduate student status) must be sent by e-mail (contact@isbm12.com) at the time of online registration. Post-doctoral fellows are not considered students.

The Registration fee includes:

*Special dietary requirements will be taken into consideration by the Organising Committee (please fill in the registration form accordingly).

You can also register for the congress dinner for an additional 75 €.

Participation fees are owed upon registration; participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.

Bursaries

The Scientific Committee of Occupational Toxicology (SCOT) of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH), in collaboration with other ICOH’s Scientific Committees (SC Nanomaterial Workers’ Health, SC Toxicology of Metals and SC Rural Health) is pleased to announce the availability of bursaries for attendance at the ISBM-12 | 12th International Symposium on Biological Monitoring in Occupational and Environmental Health Conference in Porto, Portugal, June 21 - 23, 2023.

The two bursaries of 1000 EUR are to be used against the congress registration fee, travel, and accommodation associated with attending the congress with an accepted communication.

Eligibility to apply for a bursary is restricted to delegates from low and middle-income countries, with a preference for students. Preference will also be given to ICOH members from the previously mentioned scientific committees.

To apply for a bursary, check the box on the Abstract Form (isbm12.com/abstract-submission). And when emailing your abstract to abstracts.isbm12@gmail.com it MUST be accompanied with:

  • a brief (one-page) CV;

  • motivation letter (one-page);

  • If you are a student, provide a supporting statement from your supervisor or lecturer.


All documents indicated above are mandatory, otherwise, the submission will not be accepted.

Applications must be submitted until 07.02.2023; candidates will be informed by 17.03.2023.

Payment

Payments must be made in euros; no other currency will be accepted.

Payment must be done within 20 consecutive days upon registration.

All bank transfer charges must be covered by the registrant.

Cancellation Policy

  • The registration of participation is binding.

  • If a registrant is unable to attend the event for any reason, they may be substituted by someone else to attend in their place, by arrangement with the Secretariat.

  • When the registrant is unable to attend and is not able to transfer his/her place to another person, an 80% refund will be granted if cancelation occurs 60 days before the event (24.04.2023). No refund will be granted after this period.

  • The Organiser reserves the right to change the format of the event (from on-site to online) in compliance with safety rules, including restrictions related to the COVID-19 epidemic or other extreme circumstances of global-impact. Such a change shall not give rise to any claims by third parties, including event participants. The Organiser will also have no further liability to registrants’ expenses, such as accommodation or travel.

  • If the presenting author cancels the registration, the abstract will not be published in the Congress book of Abstracts.

  • The Organising Committee is not liable for any outside disruption, strike or demonstration preventing the registrant from attending.

  • The Congress programme may be subject to changes. Registrations remain valid if the Congress has to be postponed.
